The house is so versatile as to adapt to your expectations from a holiday house: More than 100 sq.m. of courtyard and garden to relax under the sun and enjoy your meals. An attic preserved in its original style of wood and with four surrounding windows that offer view to the countryside that serves as a bedroom. It is equipped with a large TV and airconditioned, while an office desk and armchair enables you to catch-up with working responsibilities. The spacious living room offers the vintage-modern sense of living with comfortable sofas and a dining table. In the fully-equipped kitchen visitors have at their disposal everything they need to prepare their meals, just like at home. Also, we offer you bicycles (no charge) to explore the surrounding area full of olive trees, of Minoan and medieval places of historical significance and views of the Cretan sea.

A few practical notes on Tylissos: the house is only 20km away from Heraklion airport (and 17 from the Heraklion port) and very close to Crete’s largest university general hospital PAGNI. Many convenient stores, a pharmacy, restaurant and cafes are open all year round. Tylissos combines easy access to the seafront (about 11 km to Chelidoni and other Aghia Pelagia beaches) as well as to countryside and mountain activities starting at Tylissos or the Zeus’ mythical birthplace, Psiloritis mountain, which has the status of one UNESCO’s Global Geoparks. 

Tylissos represents a unique blend of history and sustainability.
